In Loving Memory of Dajhmere Hall
Washington County, Georgia — With heavy hearts, we honor the memory of 30-year-old Dajhmere Hall, who was found deceased at Washington State Prison on Friday morning at approximately 7:15 a.m. Authorities reported that no foul play is suspected, yet the news of his passing has left a deep void for those who knew him and a sense of sorrow for those who understand the realities faced by many inside the prison system.
Hall’s death came just two days before three additional inmates — Ahmod Hatcher, 23, Jimmy Trammell, 42, and Teddy Jackson, 27 — were killed following major fights described as a possible riot inside the same facility. Reports indicate that twelve inmates and a correctional officer were injured during the violent disturbance.
The events have prompted former inmates and advocates to call attention to the unsafe conditions within Georgia prisons. Former inmate Earl White, 54, shared that walking out of prison unharmed “is a miracle,” citing violence, poor medical care, spoiled food, and the removal of educational and rehabilitative programs as contributors to the growing instability behind bars.
Though early into 2026, Washington State Prison has already seen the loss of four lives, prompting increased concern as local authorities also continue to intercept contraband smuggling attempts in Washington County.
While headlines recount the circumstances, there remains a man whose life mattered. In loving memory of Dajhmere Hall, may he rest in peace, and may his story never be forgotten.
