In Loving Memory – Madison County Tragedy

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. — The Madison County community is mourning the loss of three lives following a tragic crash on State Road 67 Wednesday afternoon. The collision, which occurred around 4:20 p.m. between North Pendleton Avenue and West Ridge Lane, involved a black 2011 Nissan Titan and a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, the Nissan crossed into the southbound lane and struck the Jeep head-on.

Inside the Nissan were Timmy Davis, 62, and Debra Davis, 64, of Buford, Georgia. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The husband and wife, remembered by family and friends as devoted and kind-hearted, leave behind loved ones struggling to come to terms with their sudden passing.

The driver of the Jeep, Carlos Caudill, 41, of Pendleton, was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Anderson, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Carlos was known throughout his community as a caring family man and a helpful neighbor whose loss is deeply felt.

For nearly two hours, SR 67 remained closed as first responders and investigators worked at the scene. Though the road has since reopened, the impact of this tragedy is lasting.

In this time of grief, the community extends thoughts and prayers to the families of Timmy and Debra Davis and Carlos Caudill. While their lives were tragically cut short, the love, kindness, and memories they leave behind will endure in the hearts of those who knew them.

In loving memory: Timmy Davis, Debra Davis, Carlos Caudill.
