In Loving Memory of Bonita Hardin
The community of Beaver Dam is grieving the loss of 63-year-old Bonita Hardin, who tragically passed away after a vehicle accident that occurred last week. Police identified Bonita as a passenger involved in the crash, which happened last Friday in the 700 block of S. Main Street. According to investigators, she was seated in the passenger seat of a 1999 Chrysler Sebring when the vehicle was struck on the side by a 2025 Chrysler Pacifica.
Emergency crews from Beaver Dam Police, Ohio County EMS, Beaver Dam Fire and Rescue, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, and the Ohio County Coroner’s Office responded quickly to assist those involved. Bonita and both drivers were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Sadly, Bonita did not survive her injuries, while the other two individuals were treated and released.
News of the accident has left family, friends, and neighbors reflecting on the woman behind the report. At 63, Bonita had built a life filled with relationships, memories, routines, and moments that made her uniquely cherished. She may have been someone who offered warmth in conversation, comfort in difficult times, or joy in everyday gatherings. Her presence, now gone, leaves a space that cannot be easily filled.
While the circumstances of her passing are heartbreaking, her memory lives on in the people she touched and the stories they carry forward. May Bonita Hardin be remembered with love and dignity, and may her family find peace and strength in the days ahead.
