In Loving Memory of Chera Robinson Doty

The Montgomery and Pike Road communities are mourning the heartbreaking loss of 46-year-old Chera Robinson Doty, who passed away Thursday following a devastating two-vehicle crash on I-85 near Taylor Road. Chera’s sudden death has left family, friends, and her entire church community grappling with grief, as a life devoted to service, faith, and care for others was taken far too soon.

The crash occurred around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday when Montgomery police responded to the scene. Chera, the driver of one of the vehicles involved, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.

Chera was widely known not only as a devoted wife and mother but also for her deep commitment to the youth and families of Pike Road. Since 2021, she served as the kids’ minister at Century Church, guiding children with patience, compassion, and love. Her husband, Phillip Doty, also serves as the church’s youth minister, and together they nurtured and inspired countless young lives in their community.

Her passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew her. Chera’s dedication, warmth, and gentle spirit were evident in everything she did — from her ministry work to her personal interactions, leaving an enduring impact on everyone she encountered. Friends, family, and church members are now remembering her life and the joy she brought to so many.

May Chera Robinson Doty rest in eternal peace, and may her legacy of faith, love, and service continue to inspire all who were touched by her life. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones and community.
