Body Recovered Near Interstate 75
On August 8, authorities with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a body was pulled from a retention pond near the southbound off-ramp of Interstate 75 and State Road 70.
The remains were described as badly decomposed, preventing investigators from making an immediate positive identification at the scene. Officials stated they are working to determine the exact cause of death. At this time, investigators have said they did not observe immediate signs of foul play.
