Austin Police Identify Suspect in 6th Street Shooting That Killed Two and Injured 14

Austin Police Department have released a photo and identified the suspect responsible for a deadly shooting that erupted on 6th Street in downtown Austin over the weekend, leaving two dead and 14 others injured.

Authorities confirmed the suspect as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne. Police said Diagne opened fire on the crowded entertainment district in the early hours, creating chaos and prompting a rapid law enforcement response.

According to police reports, the shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. Sunday, when Diagne reportedly drove an SUV around the block multiple times before stopping near a bar and firing into the crowd.
