Woman Found Fatally Shot After 911 Hang-Up Call in Pine Bluff

Pine Bluff — Authorities in Pine Bluff are investigating a fatal shooting after a woman was discovered unresponsive inside her home over the weekend.

According to the Pine Bluff Police Department, officers were dispatched shortly after noon Sunday to the 6000 block of Cimarron Drive following a 911 hang-up call from the residence. Dispatchers attempted to re-establish contact but were unable to reach anyone inside the home, prompting officers to respond to conduct a welfare check.

Before police arrived, concerned family members went to the residence after being unable to contact the homeowner. When no one answered the door, relatives forced entry into the house to check on her well-being.

Inside, they discovered 40-year-old Kinyatta Ringo-Wimbly unresponsive with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. When officers arrived moments later, they secured the scene and requested emergency medical personnel. Ringo-Wimbly was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police confirmed that no other individuals were found inside the home at the time of the discovery. Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting, including whether there were signs of forced entry or a possible disturbance.

Investigators described the case as being in its early stages. Crime scene technicians were seen collecting evidence throughout the afternoon, and detectives canvassed the neighborhood seeking potential witnesses and surveillance footage that may provide insight into what occurred.

At this time, no suspect information has been released, and no arrests have been announced. Police have not indicated whether they believe the incident was targeted or random.

Officials are urging anyone who may have information related to the case to contact the Pine Bluff Police Department. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through local crime reporting channels.
